LEC’s monthly rhythm is built to give structure and support to your entrepreneurial journey. In this lesson, we walk you through what a typical month looks like when you're part of the Ladies Entrepreneurship Club. Each calendar month includes a mix of learning, networking, sales opportunities, and member-only perks—carefully designed to keep you engaged and moving forward.

First, expect at least one Saturday event per region or stream. These are hybrid (in-person + virtual), focused on hands-on learning, founder showcases, or networking. As a Exchange Pass holder, you’ll get first access to register and priority entry—especially important for in-person spots, which are limited.

During the month, you’ll also find virtual pop-ups: live sessions like Sip & Shops, live trainings, or behind-the-scenes coaching from the LEC team. These are often themed around your chosen stream—like 'Money Mondays' or 'Trade Thursdays'—and open only to pass holders unless otherwise stated.

Our newsletters arrive every two weeks and highlight what’s coming, recap what just happened, and spotlight members doing great work. You’ll also receive direct WhatsApp updates if you opt in.

You can expect opportunities to be featured in the LEC Catalogue, pitch your product at live sessions, or request one-to-one help through our Office Hours. For those more engaged, there are leadership opportunities inside each stream or city pod—like helping host events or being part of our speaker lineup.

At its core, the calendar is designed to keep things simple, consistent, and impactful. Every month, across every active city, we run a Saturday event. These events are categorized by business “streams” like Startup, Travel, Trade, Investment, and Money. That means if you’ve purchased a Exchange Pass for a stream, you’ll know exactly when your relevant events are coming up—no guesswork.

You’ll also see clearly marked virtual events. These include training sessions, founder showcases, pitch nights, and online marketplaces—all accessible from anywhere in the world. We maintain a balance of local and global programming so you can stay connected no matter where you live or travel.

LEC operates globally, but our approach is deeply local. In this lesson, we show you what kind of events, collaborations, and opportunities you can expect in each of our key cities—currently including New York, London, Accra, and Dubai—with plans to grow.

Each city is managed by a regional team (or directly by HQ for now) and has a unique rhythm. Events are held on Saturdays and follow the same high-quality format but with different themes, partners, and guest speakers based on local needs and opportunities. For instance, an event in Accra might focus on trade readiness and export packaging, while one in London could dive into pitch strategy or navigating new regulations.

You'll learn how the city calendars are structured, which events are stream-aligned, and how to follow updates about your city even if you travel. Some members participate in multiple cities, which is possible if you hold passes in more than one stream or use our virtual options to stay involved.

We also cover how to engage with the city WhatsApp groups, how catalogue features and promotions are handled per location, and how vendors can apply for pop-up spots.

Our Exchange Breakfast Meetings are the heart of your LEC experience. Held once a month on Saturdays, our Exchange Breakfast Meetings are in-person gatherings that offer rich experiences rooted in strategy, sisterhood, and execution. These events give ample time for a structured program without overwhelming your weekend.

Here’s what a typical Breakfast Meeting includes:

• 1 hour of Marketplace networking before the panels
  Vendors from the LEC Catalogue display their products and services

• 3 themed panel sessions (30 mins each)
  Focused on a single stream, such as “Money Money Money” or “Startup”

• 2 deep-dive expert sessions (15 mins each)
  High-impact insights from experienced professionals

• 1 hour of post-panel networking and closing remarks
  Another opportunity to engage and build connections

Attendance is stream-based. You must hold a Exchange Pass for the relevant stream to register. Pass holders are given early access. Non-pass holders can request to join, but confirmation comes only after 48 hours or if they’re invited as a plus-one.

Only 10 in-person seats are offered per event to keep the experience intimate. The rest may join virtually, depending on the city’s setup.

Registering for events at the Ladies Entrepreneurship Club is simple, but knowing when and how to secure your seat is critical—especially for in-demand regional sessions. In this lesson, we’ll walk you through the full registration process for both virtual and in-person events.

First, we’ll explain the golden rule: You must hold a Exchange Pass before attending any LEC event. This is your membership access to all events tied to a stream. If you're not a pass holder for the stream an event belongs to, you may still request access—however, confirmation will only be granted after pass holders have had their first refusal window (usually 48 hours). If you're a guest of a pass holder, you’ll be prioritized for standby entry.

We then guide you step by step through the registration flow: how to browse upcoming events on the LEC site, choose your stream or region, complete the simple registration form, and wait for confirmation. For hybrid events, we’ll cover how to indicate whether you plan to attend in person or online—and how limited seating works.

In this lesson, we clarify a distinction that often confuses members: the difference between the Executive Committee (ExCom) and the hired LEC team. Both groups are essential to the success of the Ladies Entrepreneurship Club — but they serve different functions, follow different structures, and are rewarded in different ways.

The ExCom is made up of LEC members who step up into leadership positions to guide the community. These roles are not paid — they are voluntary but come with powerful benefits such as free Exchange Plus membership, visibility, and leadership recognition. Roles include President, Vice President, Secretary, Stream Leader, and Pod Leader. Members of the ExCom are selected through application, nomination, or election depending on the role. Their purpose is to represent the voice of the membership, guide the Club’s development in alignment with its mission, and uphold its values.

On the other hand, the hired LEC team consists of professionals brought in to help execute the vision. These team members are paid and may include office staff, designers, website managers, customer service reps, content creators, and sales support. Their focus is on operational delivery — making sure systems run smoothly, content is published, events are executed, and members are supported.

This lesson will help you identify whether you're best suited to lead through the ExCom or to apply for a staff role — or both over time. By understanding these structures, you’ll also know who to contact for different queries or ideas within the club.

The LEC Executive Committee (ExCom) is where leadership meets responsibility. ExCom members are elected to serve, lead, and grow the Club — both online and on the ground. If you're thinking about stepping up, this lesson outlines everything you need to know to prepare.

Whether you’re applying for President, Vice President, Secretary, Stream Lead, or City Lead, you must meet specific milestones and agree to deliver on defined quotas during your term. Minimum Eligibility Requirements:

• Hold at least one Exchange Pass

• Be a member for 3+ months

• Have completed this orientation course

• Attend a minimum of 3 LEC events (in-person or virtual)

• Be active in the WhatsApp Group and Channel

• Refer at least 3 new members or vendors in the last 90 days

• Successfully complete the ExCom Interest Form and Interview

Ongoing Leadership Commitments (If Elected):

• Lead monthly activities or discussions in your stream or city

• Maintain a minimum recruitment quota per quarter (e.g., 5 new members or partners)

• Actively promote one LEC product or initiative monthly (e.g., Catalogue, event tickets)

• Submit a monthly impact report (template provided)
