Getting started
Welcome to Seller Studio
Seller Studio is where you build your brand page and product listings for the LEC digital catalogue. Everything you enter here is previewed live on the right, so you can see exactly how shoppers will read your story before you submit for review.
What you can do here
- Write your company story, founder bio, and contact details
- Add product listings with photos, prices, sale flags, and stock notes
- Prepare advertising briefs (when your package includes them)
- Track order slips and catalogue analytics
Tip: Work tab by tab. Save often with Save all at the top of the studio. When your brand page is ready, use Submit page for review so the LEC team can publish it in the flipbook.
Getting started
Your seller account & slots
Your catalogue listing purchase creates a seller account linked to your WordPress login. The account controls how many product slots you can fill and whether advertising panels are unlocked.
Listing slots
Each catalogue listing product you buy adds product slots. The Products tab shows a bar at the top: how many slots you have used, how many are left, and your full-page hero allowance.
- Standard listings — grid or spec layouts on your brand’s product spread
- Full-page hero — one Layout 1 hero per six standard listings (included). Extra full-page slots can be purchased separately
- Product swap credits — if you have swap credits, a badge appears in the header; use them to replace a published product without buying a new slot
No account linked?
If you see “No seller account linked”, your login is not yet tied to a catalogue seller record. Contact LEC admin or complete your catalogue listing purchase so an account can be activated.
Getting started
Save, preview & submit
The daily workflow
- Edit — fill in fields on the left; the magazine preview updates on the right
- Save all — stores company, founder, sales, drafts, and briefs to your seller profile
- Submit page for review — sends your brand page (company + founder + contact) to LEC for approval
- Submit all for review (Products tab) — sends every product draft in your slots for approval
Preview panel
The preview mimics the live flipbook: header ribbon, layouts, and typography. Use the ← → buttons when previewing multi-page spreads (products, advertorial). Switch studio tabs to change what the preview shows.
Status messages
Green messages confirm saves and submissions. Red messages explain validation or server errors. The yellow missing fields box lists anything required before submission.
Remember: Saving does not publish to the live catalogue. LEC reviews submissions and rebuilds the flipbook when approved.
Brand page
Store currency & layouts
Under Company & sales → Store settings you set store currency. Under the live preview, open Page layout to choose how your brand and founder sections are arranged.
Store currency
Pick the currency you will enter for product prices (e.g. GHS, GBP, USD). Shoppers can still view converted prices in the catalogue reader; your studio always shows the currency you chose.
Brand pages layout
- Two-column story + image — story text beside a hero image
- Stacked story — vertical flow for longer copy
Founder layout
- Portrait + bio wrap — classic founder photo with wrapped bio
- Wide side-by-side — photo and bio in two columns
Change layouts anytime; save and check the preview before submitting.
Brand page
Company & brand story
In Company & brand, tell shoppers who you are.
Fields
- Company / brand name — appears in the catalogue ribbon and product listings
- Category — e.g. Fashion, Beauty (shown in the header ribbon on your pages)
- Tagline — short line under your name where the layout allows
- Brand story — rich text editor; Enter = new paragraph, Shift+Enter = line break
- Company logo — square or horizontal logo for contact blocks
- Company logo — shown beside your About story (upload under Company logo)
- Company / hero image — large image for the contact box hero column
- Website & address — shown on your contact page in the catalogue
Editor toolbar
Use bold, lists, and links sparingly — the preview matches catalogue styling. Character counts help you stay within limits (about 1,200 characters for brand story).
Sample text: Use Load Beam Beads sample text to see how a completed brand page reads, then replace with your own copy.
Brand page
Founder profile
The Founder section powers the founder spread in your brand chapter.
- Founder name and title / role
- Founder bio — up to ~3,200 characters with the same rich editor as brand story
- Founder photo — portrait works best for the portrait layout
After uploading a photo, save and confirm cropping looks correct in the preview. Founder content is part of the brand page submission — it publishes together with company details.
Brand page
Sales & contact channels
Sales & contact drives how shoppers reach you from the catalogue.
Contact fields
- WhatsApp number (include country code)
- Phone, email, Instagram handle
- Visit / pickup note — e.g. studio hours or market stall location
Order channels
Tick which methods you accept: WhatsApp, phone call, or in-person visit. These appear as options on product and contact flows in the live catalogue.
Keep WhatsApp accurate — it is the most-used channel for seller-managed orders.
Brand page
Submit brand page for review
When company, founder, and sales sections are complete:
- Click Save all and wait for the green confirmation
- Review the preview (brand about, founder, contact pages)
- Click Submit page for review in the studio header
LEC checks copy, images, and contact details. You may receive feedback before the page goes live in the flipbook. You can continue editing product drafts while the brand page is in review.
Before you submit: Upload logo, hero, and founder photo; fill required contact fields; fix any items listed in the yellow missing-fields box.
Products
Listing slots explained
The Products tab is built around slots — one slot = one product listing in the catalogue.
Slots bar
At the top you will see how many slots are allocated, filled, and empty. The layout preview diagram shows how your products tile on the spread (Layouts 2–6 rotate based on count).
Full-page heroes
Layout 1 is a full-page hero product. You receive one full-page slot per six standard listings. Checking “Full-page hero” on a product consumes a full-page slot. Additional heroes can be purchased from the catalogue shop.
Need more?
Buy another catalogue listing to add slots, or a full-page product for extra heroes.
Products
Adding & ordering products
Each slot card in the Products tab is one draft listing.
- Fill title, price, and photo at minimum
- Optional fields improve the spec layout (material, dimensions, colours)
- Use ↑ ↓ on a slot to reorder — order affects position on the published spread
- Save product draft saves only product slots (shortcut if you are not changing brand fields)
- Submit all for review sends every filled slot to LEC
Empty slots can stay empty until you are ready; only completed drafts are submitted.
Products
Price, sale & stock
Listing price & declared cap
- When you buy a listing, you declare the item name and item price at checkout
- Listing fee = £27 or 25% of item price — whichever is greater (shown before you pay)
- In Seller Studio you may lower the catalogue price anytime
- To raise price above your declared cap, use the upgrade link on the slot — you pay only the listing-fee difference
Core fields
- Title — product name in Playfair display type on the listing
- Price — entered in your store currency; shown on the gold price button in the catalogue
- Category / description — supports layout-specific copy (Item, Detail, Sizes on Layout 2; brand line on Layout 3)
- Material, dimensions, colours, discount % — populate the spec sheet layout
Sale pricing
- Sale price — optional lower price
- Show sale flag & use sale price — toggles the ON SALE ribbon and strike-through display when a sale price is set
Stock
Stock qty — when set, the catalogue can show a low-stock or sold-out note on the listing. Leave blank if you do not track quantity in the catalogue.
After publish — live updates
Published products appear under Submitted products. You can update stock, sale price, and sale flag there without resubmitting the whole product; changes sync to the live catalogue via save on that row.
Products
Product photos
Each slot has an image upload. Use clear, well-lit photos on a neutral background where possible — they appear in grid cells and hero layouts.
- Accepted formats: standard web images (JPEG, PNG, WebP)
- After upload, save and check the preview cell for cropping
- Layout 1 hero uses the image full-bleed — choose a strong vertical or square crop
If no image is uploaded, a placeholder appears in preview only; submit real photography before approval.
Products
How layouts are assigned
You do not pick layout numbers manually for standard slots — the catalogue assigns layouts 2–6 based on how many standard products you publish on a spread:
- Layout 2 — dual write-up (Item · Detail · Sizes)
- Layout 3 — spec sheet (brand, material, colours, discount badge)
- Layout 4 — 2×2 grid
- Layout 5 — featured product + three mini listings
- Layout 6 — 3×2 grid
The layout preview diagram in the Products tab shows the upcoming arrangement. Only Full-page hero forces Layout 1 explicitly.
Products
Product swap requests
If you have swap credits (shown in the studio header), you can replace an already-published product without buying a new slot.
- Open Request product swap at the bottom of the Products tab
- Choose the product to replace
- Enter the new title, price, and photo
- Submit the request — LEC processes the swap and rebuilds your spread
Swaps are for like-for-like listing changes (seasonal SKU, photo refresh). They do not increase your slot count.
Advertising
Adverts tab
The Adverts tab is for standard advertising placements included in some packages: full-page ads, newsletter mentions, and branded catalogue blocks.
If the panel is locked
Sellers without an advert allocation see a blurred panel with upgrade copy. Purchase the relevant rate-card item or ask LEC to attach the package to your seller account.
Advert brief fields
- Placement type — full-page ad, newsletter mention, or branded block
- Headline & body copy
- CTA label & URL — button text and destination link
- Advert image — upload creative if you have it
- Notes — timing, placement preferences, design direction
Save all after completing the brief. LEC design may finalize artwork before publish.
Advertising
Advertorial spreads
Advertorial is an editorial-style feature: hero image, headline, byline, and two equal columns of copy — like a magazine article about your brand.
Page spread
- 1 catalogue page — ~280 words
- 2-page spread — ~560 words; copy continues on the following page
Fields
Topic, category labels, byline, headline, main body, hero image, and optional featured product name/price for the product callout block.
Preview the spread with ← → in the preview panel. Locked sellers need an advertorial package on their account first.
Orders & analytics
Order slips
The Orders tab lists purchase slips created when a shopper orders a seller-managed product through the catalogue.
How it works
- LEC-owned products may checkout directly
- Seller-managed products generate a slip with a unique code for you
- The buyer receives the slip; you acknowledge receipt when you have seen the order
Your actions
Find the slip in your list, enter or confirm the code shown to the buyer, and acknowledge. This helps LEC and the buyer know the order was received.
Keep WhatsApp and email contact details current on your brand page so buyers can follow up after generating a slip.
Orders & analytics
Your analytics dashboard
The Analytics tab summarizes catalogue engagement for your brand.
Typical metrics
- Catalogue page views attributed to your brand
- Top product interactions
- Contact and WhatsApp intent actions
- Order-slip opens and acknowledgements
Use these figures in sponsor conversations and your own planning. Data refreshes when you open the tab; heavy traffic periods may take a few minutes to appear after a flipbook rebuild.
Tip: Compare analytics before and after a product swap or sale campaign to see what moved needle.
Help & FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Why is my preview different from the live catalogue?
Preview is approximate to studio data. The live flipbook updates after LEC approves submissions and runs a rebuild. Currency conversion in the reader uses shopper locale settings.
I saved but shoppers do not see changes
Drafts and brand saves are not public until approved and published. Exception: stock, sale price, and sale flag on already published products update live from the Submitted products list.
Advertising tabs are blurred
Your seller account does not include that ad package yet. See the rate card or contact LEC.
Can I edit another seller’s account?
Only catalogue admins can switch sellers via the hub bar. Regular sellers see only their own studio.
Who do I contact?
Email or WhatsApp your LEC catalogue contact with your brand name and seller login email. Include screenshots from Seller Studio if something fails to save.
